Italy, shoes and eye shadow

How is your holiday? I'm just relaxing in front of my little cottage and looking out over the Garda lake(if the name is the same as in Dutch) in Italy. Just to give you a bit of an idea on how it looks: picture mountains with a lake in front of them and some olive trees. Before I went to Italy, I went to my aunt. I stayed there for a week, because she asked me to help her with sorting out photos from the last 20/30 years. So you can imagine we had quite a lot of work to do.

In one of my previous post about the shoe issue I told you that I couldn't decide which shoes I wanted. Now (actually a little while ago) I made up my mind. I was walking around in Utrecht to look for shoes and a bikini, when I walked past the window of the H&M. And then I saw them. I was sold immediately. I went inside but they weren't in my size any more. So I went to the other H&M. Luckily they did have the right size over there.

So in the end I ended up buying none of the shoes from that other post.

I also have something else to show you. My aunt gave me this, because she got it from someone and didn't use it. So she gave it to me ( of course I was really happy with that). It's eye shadow from Estée Lauder. I really like the colors, because they match with a lot of things.

I like the darkest and the lightest colors the most.
So what do you think? Did I end up buying shoes that are better or worse than the shoes I had in mind at first? Let me know.

A long time ago I saw these nailpolish colors at the Kruidvat. I really loved them, but I didn't know which colors I wanted(because there were a lot). Then, I went to the store today and I saw another lovely color. It was the last one and I couldn't resist! It was such a beautiful color and Im really addicted to it. From the other colors I picked two I liked the most. I could have bought more because they were only €1,25 I believe.

I don't know if they have these colors in other countries, but for those of you from Holland who want to get these colors, these are the names and numbers:
  • n.37 Just rock it!
  • n.38 Choose me
  • n.43 Where is the party?

n.37 Just rock it!

n.43 Where is the party? Sorry for the blurry picture.

n.38 Choose me. Too bad it's not that thick
N. 43 Where is the party? is my favorite color. I think I'm going to wear it a lot. Which is your favorit?

Shoe issue

Hi guys

I've got a bit of a problem. Well it's not really a problem, but I don't know what to do. I have to choose between to pairs of shoes.

I saw these wedges from Uggs at a store, but they were a bit too expansive. Then I saw the almost exact same pair, but for less money. I really like them I you can barely see that they are fake. They are in three different kinds of colors. I probably want the black pair. The fake version is I think €20.

Uggs Violet
The other shoes I saw are from the H&M. These also come in three colors: black, red and nude. The red ones are fabulous, but maybe a little bit hard to match with other things. The nude ones will make your legs look longer and the black ones go with almost everything. These are €30.

H&M wedges
I really don't know which one I have to choose. You've got to help me. Please leave a comment in which you tell me you like the most and in which color.

Shop log: Last month (or more)

Hi guys

The past month I've been shopping once in a while. But because I didn't have my camera I could show you. That is why I came up with the idea to show you everything I bought while I was gone. It's actually not that much so my list is short.

I'll start with clothing.
Red dress: H&M
White oversized top: Primark
Black long dress: H&M
Pink top: Supertrash
To get ready for the summer I also bought some shoes.

The pink shoes I showed you yesterday: New Look
Black shoes: Primark
Turquoise sandals: Primark
To finish my look I got some accessoires.

Parrot earrings: Primark

Bag: Primark

Bracelet Gold&Black: H&M
Watch: Blokker
Color Bracelet: Primakr
Ring: H&M
You've probably already noticed that I went shopping at the Primark. I can't resist all the clothing and accessoires they have. I just can't leave empty handed. I think I'm quite ready for going on holiday. What is your must have for the holiday?

Do you remember me?

Hi guys

Remember, it's me, Emma! I know its been a long time, but I have a reason... My camera was send back to the factory, because I had some problems with it. I would get it back today, but I went with my parents and my sister to Antwerp. Now the package will be brought tomorrow. Then I can show you what I bought . It's actually not that much. I only bought a watch and shoes. I can show you with pictures from the internet.
I bought a pair of ballet shoes at the New Look.
They are so cute and cost only €10!

I bought this watch at the Blokker for €10.
My watch is of course not a real Ice watch, but it doesn't really bother me. Usually I don't wear watches so I'm not going to spend a lot on it. My sister bought the same watch, but in the color Pink. It was the last one so she got the one from the display. We couldn't wait to put them on and 10 minutes later, her watch broke! I hope mine will last longer.

I'm a bit disappointed that I couldn't find anything else. The sale was a bit annoying, because it was just a big mess. Well, this saves me money when I'm going on holiday.

DIY: Necklace

Hi girls

I wanted to post this DIY a bit earlier but I couldn't find the time to finish it. I was thinking about doing one again for a long time, but I had 0 inspiration. Then I saw a necklace on a website and I thought: "I can make one myself!". When I got home I went looking for the materials needed and started working. it only took a bit longer before I got all the materials(I had to take something appart before I could use it).

The things you need for this DIY are:
  • Leather (I used some old(read: something you don't use anymore) shoes from my mom)
  • Scissors
  • Stanley(don't know if that is the good word for it, but I mean something like a small knife to make a hole in the leather)
  • These small golden pins
  • Long necklace. Preferably gold, but it depends on the colour of your leather.
Most of the stuff I used.
Use the stanley(or whatever it is called) to make two holes for the pins.
Attach it to the necklace and split the pins.

I hope you like it. Would you wear it or is it not really your style?

Festival season

Summer is coming and so are all the festivals. It's too bad I'm too young to go to festivals, but for those of you who are old enough: Here is some of my personal style for you.
Of course we hope for good weather, so most of the clothing I picked are for sunny days.

My favourites are the ripped shorts.
If you are in a bad weather situation, just put on a fabulous raincoat and some fancy rainboots and go. I hope you can use my ideas. What would you wear to a festival? Let me know.

Back in the scene

Hello Everybody

I'M BACK!! It's been a while (a month) since my last post. I'm really sorry for that, but I was so busy with school and everything that I didn't even have time for you guys. I had to do a big project in which I put a lot of time(it was worth it, because it came out amazing! If you ever need someone to write a newspaper(that was the project) I'm your man, eh..girl). I promise I'll post more from now on. I'm trying to build up my stamina, cause it is kinda low. It's the same with f.e. reading a book. In the beginning I go through it very quick and half way through I stop.

I have a great idea. Why don't you guys put something in your comment below about what you would like to see (more) on my blog and I'll try to put it in or adjust my blog to it.

Accessories: Big Rings

The accessories to finish my summer look are big colourful rings. It is something different than bracelets and earrings and you can match them with a lot of things. I don't think it needs any more explanation so here are some examples:

The one with the rose and the eiffel tower are soooo cute!
Are you going to wear them or are you more a bracelet person?

Colour Blocking Trousers

Of course you all know about the colour blocking style of the new season. One thing, which really stands out in my opinion, are the bold coloured trousers. From a light salmon pink to a bright blue version. You've also got the different kind a shapes, like a skinny jeans or a harem baggy one. I still need one for this summer and I think I'm going with a blue skinny one.

I like that they are rolled up at the bottom.

Besides the long trousers you've also got the bright coloured short versions. These are extremely suited for sunny days to get your legs tanned but keep looking fashionable. You've got these in normal shorts versions and in high-waisted versions. The high-waisted ones go great with crop tops.

They are so cute with a small belt.
What do you think of the bold trousers? Am I seeing you with them this summer or are they too bold for you? Let me know and leave a comment.

White Lace Dress

One thing I really want for this summer, is a white lace dress. It looks so cute and white is the perfect colour for the summer. I've picked a few things which would go great with it. My list:
  • Brown Satchel
  • Flower bracelet
  • Flower head garlands
  • Brown brogues

What do you think of the whole combination? Too cute or too much? Let me know and leave a comment.

Let the sun shine!

Today is such a lovely day(at least where I live). The sun is shining and the temperature rising. It's the perfect occasion to get my sunglasses out of de closet where they spent all winter. When I gave them a nice little place in my room, I noticed that I had a lot of wayfarer sunglasses. It's become a bit of an obsession.
In total I've got 6 of which 4 wayfarers. (The light one in the middle is with flowers)
This is the one I started out with(don't mind my face).

This is my latest purchase.
With what kind of sunglasses are you walking around this summer? Let me know and leave a comment.

Palazzo Pants

You probably know already that the 70s look is back this season. I really like it because of all the colours and the shapes. One thing I must have is a pair of Palazzo Pants. They're so lovely and ideal for a hot summers day. The only problem is that I'm maybe a bit too short for them. They look better when you've got a bit longer legs and I think mine are too short. But I do wan't to show you some examples.
I really like the one on the top right.
Are they too 70s for you or just 70s enough? Let me know and leave a comment.

Pink skirts

Last week I saw a magazine with an article about these pink high-waisted skirts. I really loved the look so I searched for them on the internet. At Asos I found some that come pretty close to what I saw. Here are the examples:

 Prices from left to right:
1. €52.48
2. €39.36
3. €45.92
The only thing is that I don't have any shoes that would match such a skirt and that I probably would wear it just once. Would you wear it?

Wedges S/S11

Didi you miss me? Ireland was really great and I had lots of fun. When we went home on Friday, I got ill again. I started coughing again and the next 4 days I spent in bed. Hopefully tomorrow I can go back to school so I won't miss too much.

The must have shoe for S/S11 are the Wedges. I really love them and have to have at least 2 pair(not that I can walk on them). I made a little collage of some lovely wedges.
I still want the black one but the blue one in the bottom is very beautiful as well.
Are you going to wear them this the summer?

Bye Bye, see you in a week.

This will be my last post for this week, because tomorrow I'm leaving at 6 A.M. to the airport in Amsterdam. Some of you probably already know where I'm going to, but for those of you who don't: I'm going to Ireland. Forecast for this week in Ireland: 90% chance of rain. So no sunbathing for me. But except for the weather over there I'm really looking foreward to go there. I think it will be a beautiful country and I will take lots of pictures for you. I hope I will get through customs without trouble(like that they take away my stuff or that the metal detector goes off).

New Header

My old header got boring so I decided to make a new one. I was in a creative mood so I started to "design" something. I found the picture of the camera necklace on internet so it's not mine. What do you think of it? Should I keep it, make a new one or place the old one back?

Think Pink

I'm almost better. Probably by Monday the coughing and sneezing will be gone. Now I have to get all the stuff I still need for Ireland. Last Wednesday my sister came over from Utrecht. She took her summer clothes back with her for the new season. She found a top in her closet which she never wears anymore and wanted to trade it for my sweater. Of cours I said yes.

Lovely for the new summer season.
Combined with pink varnish.

A new pink lipstick I bought today(in reality it is darker).
Too pink for you or just pink enough? Let me know and leave a comment!

Black & Bright

Today I just stayed home. I was really tired and I think I'm getting ill. Just coughing and sneezing in bed all day. I hope I'll be better by Monday before I get on the plane to Ireland. A few days ago I went shopping in Utrecht. I went to the H&M and immediately fell in love with a skirt and a top. And surprisingly it matched together so well. Lately I'm trying to buy less clothes from the H&M, because when you buy something, a lot of people are wearing that same piece. But always when I walk into the H&M, there is something that I must have(this time a top and skirt and almost shoes).

A leopard printed crop top.

Together with a leather skirt.
Would you pick it from the clothing rack or leave it where it was?

Museum Girl

Saturday I went with my family to the Beeld&Geluid Museum in Hilversum. My sister had to go there for her study. It was really funny, because you could make photo's, movies and music by yourself. All the things you made are send to your e-mail so you can use them later. It's to bad that the quality is so poor.

I'm so athletic!
Together with my sister.
Don't mind my silly face.
Would you visit this museum or have you ever been there(if you're Dutch)?

Navy blue shorts

It's been such a long time ago since my last post. I'm really sorry for that, but I had an exchange. I already told you about in, I believe, 2 posts ago. This week I can keep posting, but next week I'm going to Ireland. Then you have to deal without me again.
Todays post is an outfit post. I bought the shorts in Rotterdam last Tuesday at the Bershka. With the shorts I bought a tanktop as well.

Easy to combine with black pumps

Something you are going to wear or a No-Go? Leave a comment!

Biker boots and wayfarers

This is my second post in about 10 minutes! It is a new record. But I'm doing this because the rest of the time my schedule is packed. Last night I put together some clothes which turned out into a nice outfit(I think). It is a short together with a pink top and a pair of biker boots. Because it is winter I just added some tights. Probably it looks a bit weird, so I will leave those out in the future.

I love the tough boots with the pink top
What do you think of it? Are you going to wear it this summer or not?

Today has been a busy day for me. At 8.30 I had math and until 11.50 I had french. After that, my exchange partner from Ireland arrived at school. Until 15.15 we had very tight schedule with quizzes and scavenger hunts. We had a lot of fun and were getting to know each other a bit better. On the way home we had a lot of fun because she had to sit on the back of my bike, while she never cycles herself. It was really a new experience for her. When arrived at my place we were just hanging out and talking a bit. We had to fill in some questions about Holland and tonight we are going to watch a movie with 4 others. I'm really looking forward to the rest of the week. Tomorrow we'll be going to Rotterdam, The Hague and Scheveningen. Tomorrow I'll post something about that!

creative moment

I just had a creative moment. I saw a sketch book on my desk and had nothing to do. I just started drawing and this is what came out:

Maybe a nice idea as a new banner.

A little darker than the first one.
What do you think of it? Would it be nice as banner?

too cute jacket

I wanted to put my bathrobe in a closte on the hallway, because I never use it. That is where in the summer all our winter jackets are. When I opened the closet I saw something from when I was 7 or 8 year old. It is so cute and the size looked quite big. So I tried it on and miraculously I was able to get it on! But after a minute of wearing it, I realized that the sleaves were to tight.
My dear neighbor made it for me.

On the photo it looks really tacky and old-fashioned, but when you wear it, it looks very cute.
A lovely piece of clothing or trash?
